PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly extract a thread to be considered according to the interest of a user. SOLUTION: A thread ranking device 100 is provided with: a thread collecting part 2 for collecting a thread from a notice board site; a thread information storage part 3 for storing the collected thread; an event extraction part 4 for extracting an event from the thread by using event knowledge stored in an event knowledge storage part 5; a relevant expression extraction part 6 for extracting relevant expressions characterizing the thread from among the expressions included in the thread for every thread; an input/output control part 9 for presenting information for promoting the input of evaluation with respect to a predetermined thread to the user of the notice board site, and for inputting the evaluation from the user; a relevant expression significance calculation part 7 for calculating significance for every relevant expression on the basis of the input evaluation with respect to each thread; and a thread ranking part 8 for determining the rank of the thread on the basis of the extracted event and the significance of every relevant expression.
