PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grind processing method capable of sensing a grind finishing point in grind processing at high accuracy, and obtaining a high-quality product at efficient grind processing, and a grind processing device using the method. SOLUTION: A control object 42 whose surface is a light reflection face 43 is placed at a same level as a grinding face at the time of final finishing, and is provided in parallel to a grinding object 41 in a processing area of a grinding stone for grinding a grinding face of the grinding object. Lights are radiated on the light reflection face 43 of the control object 42 during grinding, and reflection lights 57 from the light reflection face 43 are monitored. The time when variation of the reflection lights 57 is sensed by a contact of the light reflection face 43 and a grinding stone 33 is regarded as a grind finishing point, and the grinding is completed. Therefore, the grind finishing point can be sensed at high accuracy in grinding, so as to realize high accurate and efficient grind processing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
