PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale removal system which can effectively avoid inconvenience due to adhesion of scales to an electrode and a load. SOLUTION: The scale removal system comprises at least a pair of electrodes 12, 13 immersed in water to be treated for electrochemically treating the water to be treated, and a scale recovery means 5 (a filter 6) installed downstream of the electrodes 12, 13. The water to be treated passing through the filter 6 is divided into two flows. One of the flows is supplied to the load, and then joined with the water to be treated from the electrodes 12, 13 to be returned to the inlet side of the scale recovery means 5, and the other flow is returned to the inlet side of the electrodes 12, 13.
