<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower limb muscular strength evaluating/training apparatus for safely performing training in a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The lower limb muscular strength evaluating/training apparatus comprises: a base 10; a chair 20 provided on the base; a pedal 40 supported by a guide shaft 50 so as to freely reciprocate in a prescribed range on the base; a member 60 to be driven which is rotationally driven in linkage with the reciprocating movement of the pedal; a loading mechanism 80 for exerting loading so as to suppress the rotary driving force of the member 60 to be driven; a load cell 90 disposed between a non-binding member 70 supported by the guide shaft 50 and a front side fixed wall 11 so as to detect the load exerted to the pedal; and an encoder 100 or the like. The load mechanism 80 is formed so as to stop a ball screw 60 when the load is not exerted to the pedal 40 and to exert the loading corresponding to the load when the load is exerted to the pedal 40. Thus, when an aged person or a handicapped person trains the lower limbs, he/she can perform the stretch and bend exercises of legs corresponding to his/her leg strength reasonably and safely. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
