PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct exposure unevenness resulting from the structure of a focal plane shutter having a front curtain and a rear curtain. SOLUTION: A digital camera has an imaging element 20 which images a subject to obtain an image, the focal plane shutter 19 having the front curtain 191 and rear curtain 192, and a correcting means 206 which corrects exposure unevenness of an image generated depending upon the positions of the front curtain 191 and rear curtain 192 in the direction of an optical axis.
