PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and high-performance electromagnetic relay having high productivity and allowing inexpensive and accurate fixation of a movable spring; and its assembly method. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic relay comprises: a yoke 12 formed into an L-shaped form having a base part-side flat surface 12d and a rising surface 12e nearly orthogonal to it; two embossed projecting parts 12b formed by being arranged nearly in parallel to the based part-side flat surface 12d beside an end of the rising surface 12e of the yoke 12; and embossed reception parts 12c formed on the back side of a part of the rising surface 12e where the embossed projecting parts 12b formed, and small in plate thickness relative to the circumference. The movable spring 14 has two holes 14e at positions facing to the embossed projecting parts 12b, and the movable spring 14 is fixed to the yoke 12 by caulking and fixing the two holes 14e by the embossed projecting parts 12b.
