摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device in which a potential of a fixed electrode layer can be made uniform in a substrate plane thereby, a narrow pitch and a high aperture ratio of pixels can be achieved while picture quality is maintained. SOLUTION: The display device includes a scanning line 4, a data line 5, a transistor and a storage capacitor Cs disposed in a light shielding region defined around a pixel electrode 7 on a first substrate 3. The pixel electrode 7 and a semiconductor layer of the transistor are electrically connected via a first relay electrode 5a in the same layer as the data line 5 and via a third relay electrode 6a in the same layer as a common wiring line 6. The common wiring line 6 has a light shielding property and is parted between adjoining data lines 5-5, and the third relay electrode 6a is formed as separated from the common wiring line 6 in the parted portion.
