PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coping stone which is hardly displaced and collapsed, even on the occurrence of a big earthquake and the like. SOLUTION: This tombstone comprises a paneled door stone portion 2 with an internal space, and a coping stone portion 4a which is provided directly above the paneled door stone portion 2, so as to cover the paneled door stone portion 2. In the undersurface of the coping stone portion 4a, a recess 21 is formed in the same shape as that of an upper portion of the paneled door stone portion 2, so as to be fitted into the upper portion of the paneled door stone portion 2.
