PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client server system capable of efficiently processing meta-information in a client terminal. SOLUTION: When power is turned on, a CPU 11 in a client terminal 2 is made to obtain a UUID of a CDS for managing the meta-information and update-related information (System Update ID and Container Update ID) of the meta information from a DMS. There are provided a CDS management data acquisition program 13C, a UUID comparison program 13D for deciding whether or not the meta-information is updated by comparing the obtained UUID and the update-related information with a UUID and update-related information stored in advance in a CDS management data file 13A, an update detection program 13E, a browsing program 13F, a Container Update ID comparison program 13G, and when it is decided that the meta-information has been updated, and a meta-information storage program 13H for updating a database 13B after obtaining the updated meta-information from the DMS.
