PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting the lymph node metastasis from gastric carcinoma. SOLUTION: The method comprises steps (a) obtaining a biological sample from a patient and (b) measuring marker levels in the sample, wherein the levels above the pre-determined cut-off levels are indicative of lymph node metastasis from gastric carcinoma, and wherein the markers are genes, gene fragments, complements of the genes or gene fragments, proteins, protein fragments, or polypeptides. and the method uses a microarray.
