<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile radio communication system capable of surely observing a frequency component of another system from a UMTS (Universal Mobile Terrestrial Communication System) even when the UMTS and the other system coexist with each other, and capable of suppressing degradation in the interleaving performance of compression mode frames during measurement. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile radio communication system is a CMDA (Code Division Multiple Access) type mobile radio communication system in which a period required for transmitting a specific number of frames is set as a transmission period and frames are transmitted in each transmission period.
