<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an anisotropic absorbing film for efficiently manufacturing the anisotropy absorption film superior in light resistance by orienting the anisotropy absorption material without lowering density in the same plane. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the anisotropic absorbing film includes: an application layer forming process for forming an application layer by applying and drying anisotropy absorption film application liquid containing at least an ultraviolet curing liquid crystal compound, a photoinitiator, and the anisotropy absorption material of 1.5 or more of an average value of an aspect ratio on a base material having an orientation layer on a surface; and a curing process for orienting an inclined angle to a base material face of a long axis of the anisotropy absorption material 0 degrees or more and 70 degrees or less by curing with irradiation with an ultraviolet ray in a state where the application layer is heated up to a temperature in which a liquid crystal phase expresses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
