PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack conveyance mechanism capable of removing surely static electricity charged on a container regardless of a surrounding environment or the kind of the container, and an automatic analyzer equipped with the rack conveyance mechanism. SOLUTION: This mechanism is equipped with a transfer belt 211 comprising a series of members, for placing thereon and transferring a rack 41 for loading a plurality of sample containers 71; and a pair of discharging brushes 26, 27 for removing static electricity charged on the container, which are contactable with the sample containers 71 loaded on the rack 41 transferred by the transfer belt 211, and which are elongated respectively in the rack transfer direction of the transfer belt 211 and mutually opposite directions which are directions orthogonal to the normal direction of a rack placing surface of the transfer belt 211. The interval between the pair of discharging brushes 26, 27 in the rack transfer direction of the transfer belt 211 is set at a half of the interval P between each sample container 71 loaded on the rack 41.
