PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus suitable to be used to observe the growth or the like of plants such as morning glory. SOLUTION: A control part 2 makes an imaging part 3 image a still picture on the basis of imaging reservation information received by an operating part 6. The imaging reservation information includes imaging start timing, an imaging interval and the number of pictures to be imaged. The still picture imaged by the imaging part 3 is stored in a storage medium of an imaged image storing part 4. Therefore, by setting a constant time interval suitable to observe the growth of a plant of an observation object as an imaging interval and setting the number of still pictures suitable to observe the growth of the plant of an observation object as the number of pictures to be imaged, the plant of an observation target can be imaged at the constant time interval suitable for observation without performing a complicated setting operation, and the suitable number of still pictures can be obtained.
