PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous reproducing method that can quickly switch audio data and reduce sound cutoff time, and provide a synchronous reproducing system thereof. SOLUTION: This synchronous reproducing method reads the audio data and video data stored in a storage device and temporarily store the read first audio data in an audio buffer 6 and the read video data in a video buffer 4. It discards the first audio data temporarily stored in the audio buffer 6 following a switch signal to switch the sound from the first audio data to the second audio data. Then, it reads the second audio data stored in the storage device for the time after the switch signal is issued and synchronously reproduces the second audio data read from the storage device with the temporarily stored video data based on the switch signal.
