PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition of a substance effective to inhibit apoptotic cell death. SOLUTION: The above problem is solved by providing an anti-apoptotically active composition comprising phosphatidic acid, phosphatidylinositol, lysophosphatidic acid, and lysophosphatidylinositol, and lysophophatidylcholine. This composition can be produced by a method comprising the step of mixing the phospholipids in effective amounts in a specified ratio and the step of ultrasonicating the resultant mixture until the resultant mixture becomes optically transparent.
