PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wear-resistant and water-repellent structure having a surface exhibiting water-repellency and remarkably enhanced wear-resistant durability of water-repellent performances, a material for inner and exterior decoration for automobiles, and a window screen. SOLUTION: The wear-resistant and water-repellent structure comprises a resin substrate having a contact angle of at least 90°and, formed on the surface thereof, a plurality of concave parts, where the diameter D of the concave part is at most 12 mm and the distance L between the neighboring concave parts is at most 20μm. Letting the value obtained by dividing the surface area of the resin substrate by the number of the concave parts be A m<SP>2</SP>, the value A/D is at most 1.0×10<SP>-5</SP>m<SP>2</SP>/m. The material for inner and exterior decoration for automobiles to which the wear-resistant and water-repellent structure is applied is also provided. The window screen to which the wear-resistant and water-repellent structure is applied as a constituting thread thereof is also provided, where the value obtained by dividing the distance L by the diameter D is at most 1.8 and the distance between meshes is 0.1-2.0 mm.
