PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding type container which can be compactly folded while including lid bodies and prevents foreign substances from sticking on inner faces of the lid bodies in a folded states. SOLUTION: The folding type container 10 is equipped with lid connecting mechanisms 30R which oppose the inner faces 13Y of the lid bodies 13 to outer faces 12X of second side walls 12, hold the lid bodies 13 so as to be able to move up and down at specified movable strokes, and hold the lid bodies 13 so as to be rotatable at upper ends of the movable strokes. Both the lid bodies 13 and 13 are positioned so as to be arranged at the approximately same positions in the horizontal direction between an assembled state and a folded state. Inner faces 13Y of the lid bodies 13 can thereby face downward in the folded state to prevent the foreign substances from sticking, and the folding type container including the lid bodies 13 can be compactly folded.
