PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety start method of a higher-level device enabling an operation start preventing a fire of a dust collector connected to the higher-level device before happens. SOLUTION: The safety start method of the higher-level device comprises the step of preventing the fire of the dust collector collecting the dust generated from the higher-level device before happens, and of operation-starting the higher-level device. The method comprises a process of showing predetermined fire defense confirmation items and a select key on the screen of a touch panel of an operating panel operating the operation of the higher-level device at the run starting time, a process of operating the select key fitting in the fire defense confirmation items, a process of deciding whether or not the safety at the run starting time is confirmed after the operation of the select key to the predetermined fire defense confirmation items finishes, and a process of switching the screen of the touch panel to the predetermined screen on the basis of the decision results.
