The invention relates to a switch clock comprising a rotating, powered, switch roller having several switching elements (4, 10) which are arranged on a circular track and which can be adjusted to control a switching procedure by being placed in a corresponding switch position. The switch elements (4, 10) are arranged on radially projecting switch arms (5, 11). After adjustment of the switch elements (4, 10), each switch arm undergoes a pivotal movement about a pivotal axis which runs in a direction substantially tangential to a switch ring (1, 2, 3). In order to provide a device having a compact size and also short switching times, the switch ring (3) comprises two separate carrier rings (1, 2). The switch elements (4, 10) are divided equally into a first and second group. The positioning arms (5) of the first group (4) and the positioning arms (11) of the second group (10) are disposed on carrier rings (1, 2) stacked on top of each other. First and second switch elements (4 and 10) are arranged alternately side by side in the direction of the periphery on a common plane, being placed in an axially successive manner along the entire radial length thereof in each switch position. |
