The switch has left and right sensors (4, 5) that are activated independently from each other in a non-contact manner, where the left and right sensors are provided for forward turning and reverse turning. The left and right sensors are arranged below a seat surface of a chair or stool of a musician. An effective direction of the sensors is directed towards a foreleg of the chair or stool of the musician.
