The machine (4) has a lower film (42) heated with a heating unit (1) and adjacently drawn with an upper die (44). A coolant (2) e.g. nozzle, cooled plunger and cooling plate, is arranged at a region of the heating unit and/or at a region of the upper die, and locally cools the lower film. The coolant sprays or blows a medium e.g. air, on the lower film, and the plate is brought in contact with the lower film. The machine has a temperature measuring unit e.g. thermocouple, and the heating unit has a temperature gradient.
