The container has a unit (5) with a double-walled hollow cylinder (6) arranged inside the container for increasing the heat exchange between the content of the container and a cooling medium i.e. cooling water. The cylinder has an outer wall connected to an edge (8) of an opening (9) in a base (10) of the container. An inner surface of a wall of the container contacts the content, and an outer surface of the wall of the container contacts the cooling medium. An independent claim is also included for a method for cooling or warming the content of the container.
