ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE WITH HIGH SAFETY AT HIGH TEMPERATURE

A core-shell structured particle, an electrolyte solution containing the particle, an electrode containing the particle, a separator containing the particle, and an electrochemical device using the particle are provided to improve the safety of a device by the collapse of core-shell structure in case of the abnormal high temperature or overcharge. A core-shell structured particle comprises a core which contains a subliming material; and a shell which comprises a polymer and is coated on the surface of the core. Preferably the subliming material is sublimed at the temperature higher than the normal operation temperature of the device using the particle or at the voltage of 4.5 V or more so as to be discharged to the outside of the particle; and the polymer has a melting point higher than the normal operation temperature of the device using the particle.
