A device and a method for storing data, and a computer-readable recording medium storing the same are provided to improve I/O(Input/Output) performance for a main storage device such as a flash memory by improving a policy for managing the data stored to a temporary storage device. A data storage device includes a main storage device(110), such as a flash memory, storing a plurality of data in a block unit and a temporary storage device(120), such as a buffer or cache memory, temporarily storing a part of the data inputted/outputted from the main storage device. The data storage device processes the data inputted/outputted from the main storage device in the block unit. A block of the temporary storage device comprises a block node including block number information and the number of data stored in the block, and a page node storing the data. The data is managed by the block unit based on one management policy among LRU(Least Recently Used), FIFO(First Input First Output), and random modes. When reading or writing data is requested, the data is read or written to the temporary storage device in the block unit if the data is stored in the temporary storage device.
