METHOD FOR SETTING RACH, AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING RACH USING THE SAME

A method for setting an RACH(Random Access Channel) and a method for transmitting the RACH are provided to decrease the possibility of erroneous alarm of a base station due to frequency offset and reduce frequency error and timing error in a large cell. An RACH is set to have preambles, which are repeated several times. In setting the RACH, at least one of the preambles is designated as a cyclic prefix. The preamble designated as the cyclic prefix has the same length as the other preambles of the repeated preambles. A length of the cyclic prefix is equal to a length of each of the preambles. The cyclic prefix has a length of 0.8 ms, and each of the preambles has a length of 0.8 ms.
