A cable interconnection clamp includes first and second clamping portions 2 and 4 with opposed clamping faces 3, 5 which are brought together as the screw 14 is tightened. A detent between the first and second clamp faces holds the clamp portions apart until the compressive force applied by the screw displaces the detent to permit the closing of the clamps portions together.
