CARRIER FREQUENCY RECOVERY APPARATUS AND METHOD USING PHASE SHIFT

An apparatus and a method for recovering carrier frequency are provided to execute demodulation irrespective of the magnitude of frequency offset by recovering the carrier frequency using phase shift due to the effect of the frequency offset. An apparatus for recovering carrier frequency using phase shift includes a phase shift estimation unit(600), a compensating unit(620), and a recovering unit(630). The phase shift estimation unit estimates phase shift due to the effect of the frequency offset using received preamble signals. The compensating unit compensates for pre-differential decoding receive signals using estimated phase shift in the phase shift estimation unit. The recovering unit recovers the compensated signals in the compensating unit.
