Class 20 (iii) [Also in Group XXV] A door for a cool chamber which when opened has an initial movement so that the door remains parallel to the face of the opening, followed by a hingeing movement, and vice versa movements upon being closed, comprises a main plate 14 which carries a body part 13 filled with insulating material and which is pivoted on links 17 the ends of which each have pinned to them as at 26 a shaft 25 which is mounted for rotation in the upper and lower arms 23 of hinge members 12, 16 by means of thrust races 27, which are clamped in openings in the respective arms 23 by washers 28 and nuts 29, 30. The hinge plates 12 associated with the door frame 10 are stepped outwardly with regard to the hinge plates 12 fixed to the plate 14. A grease cap 31 covers the end of each shaft 25. Bars 21, operated by a handwheel 20 and links 19 are adapted to engage in the slots of blocks 11 and provide a locking arrangement for the door which is sealed by means of a rubber gasket 15. |
