A lithium secondary battery is provided to improve the strength of a hot melting part and to prevent a lead plate and a hot melting part from being separated from a cap plate. A lithium secondary battery(100) comprises an electrode assembly(120); a can(110) which accommodates the electrode assembly; and a cap assembly(130) which comprises a cap plate(140) provided with an electrolyte injection hole(142) and seals the upper aperture of the can, wherein the cap plate is provided with a lower surface facing the electrode assembly and an upper surface located at the opposite side of the lower surface, and the upper surface has a projection part(145) formed at the certain region at the surrounding containing the electrolyte injection hole. |
