BACK LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

A backlight assembly is provided to reduce a manufacture cost and effectively discharge heat of lamp by simply adapting a heat discharge unit in a bottom chassis. A backlight assembly includes a bottom chassis, a lamp unit(300) and a heat discharge unit(230). The bottom chassis has a sidewall extended from a bottom plate and an edge of the bottom plate. The lamp unit is stored in the bottom chassis and includes lamp sockets(310) combined with both sides of the bottom plate and lamps(320) fixed to the lamp sockets. The heat discharge unit includes an inverter(500), which is disposed in a rear face of the bottom chassis and supplies power to the lamps. In the heat discharge unit, the bottom plate is protruded from a bottom part and a center of the bottom part toward the lamp, to discharge heat generated from the lamps.
