摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder that can accurately detect an ejection condition of an ink drop by uniformizing the ejection condition of an ink drop from each nozzle before detecting the ejection condition of the ink drop from the recording head by a detecting means. SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder comprises the recording head 1 for ejecting small ink drops La from multiple nozzles 1b, driving control means 3, 4 for controlling the ejection of the ink drop from the recording head, and the detecting means 2 that detects the ejection condition of the ink drop from the recording head. The detecting means 2 has a light emitting element 21 and a photodetector 22 provided to across the advancing direction of the ink drop in order to detect the ink drop ejected from the nozzle of the recording head and picks up the signal change of the photodetector as an output signal when the ink drop passes through the optical axis between the light emitting element 21 and the photodetector 22. The driving control means controls the recording head to perform preliminary ejection of the ink drops from all the nozzles in order to recover the ejection of the ink drop to be in an adequate condition before the detection by the detecting means is started.
