The actuator (2) has an actuator body (5), multiple electrode sections (9) arranged between ceramic sections (8), and an electrical conducting adapter (7). A passive ceramic section (11) of the body is provided at an end (10) of the body facing the adapter and an electrical isolating connecting section (30) with low permittivity is provided at the adapter. The connecting section has an adhesive with permittivity very less than the permittivity of the section (11). The connecting section has a rigid filling unit formed of glass or a compression proof and form-stable plastic.
