A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce fault generation caused by the static electricity which are frequently generate in a sharp corner of metal lines by rounding a bent part of each metal line located in a non-display area. An insulating substrate(111) has a display area and a non-display area surrounding the display area. A metal line is formed in the non-display area. The metal line comprises first to third parts. The first part is prolonged in a first direction. The second part is prolonged in a second direction vertical to the first direction. The third part is formed in a round shape and connects the first and second parts. In the display area, a gate line(121) and a data line(141) are formed. A pad unit(125) receives a gate driving signal and transmits the signal to a shift register(123). A gate connection line(124) connects the pad unit with the shift register.
