A basket assembly for a refrigerator is provided to prevent a moving freely of the basket due to an in and out movement thereof from occurring by securely holding the basket on a pinion as well as a hanger wire at the same time. A basket assembly(50) for a refrigerator comprises a basket(52) movably received in a storage compartment of the refrigerator, at least one supporting wire(56) installed on the both sides of the basket, and at least one hanger wire(54) disposed on the both sides of the basket. The supporting wire is adapted to support the both sides of a rotational shaft(58) capable of allowing the basket to be guided in and out of the storage compartment of the refrigerator. The hanger wire is hung on a basket rail installed on the storage compartment. The rotational shaft is provided at an outer peripheral surface adjacent to both ends thereof with a pair of pinions(60). |
