<p>An apparatus and a method for controlling a display information error in a DVD-Recorder are provided to reproduce both audio and video data normally even if an error is detected in checksum of display information received from an external device and external device information of the external device and stored external device information are identical. A method for controlling a display information error in a DVD-Recorder comprises the steps of: receiving display information from an external device; discriminating whether an error of checksum is included in the received display information(S20); comparing external device information included in the received display information and stored external device information, when checksum has an error(S25); and outputting audio and video data when the external device information are identical(S28).</p> |
