The invention discloses a method which makes it possible to produce components having improved high-temperature resistance from titanium flat products made of conventional titanium alloys, such as titanium sheets or strips made of conventional titanium alloys. The invention further relates to a method for producing a component from a titanium flat product (3) made of a titanium alloy by applying an aluminum layer (6, 7) onto at least one side of the titanium flat product (3) by roll-bonding (5) and cold-rolling (9).
