The present invention relates to a disialoganglioside GD2 peptide mimotope capable of eliciting an immune response against GD2, polynucleotides encoding disialoganglioside GD2 peptide mimotopes, vectors comprising such polynucleotides, cells expressing them and uses of polypeptides, polynucleotides, vectors and cells for the production of a medicament for the treatment of tumors of neuroectodermal origin.
The GD2 mimotopes of the invention have one of the following amino acid sequences:
GRLX 1 X 2 VPDLE, wherein X 1 is selected from K, H, S, N and X 2 from M, I, L;
DGX 3 WLSX 4 GSW, wherein X 3 is selected from G, W, E, D and X 4 from E, K, N.
They are preferably flanked by two disulfide-bridged cysteines and formulated as DNA vaccines.
