METHOD FOR SYNCHRONIZING INFORMATION SHARED BY PLURALITY OF UNIVERSAL PLUG AND PLAY DEVICES AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

A method and an apparatus for managing shared information in a universal plug and play network are provided to allow all devices to update shared information even though the shared information of respective devices partially changes. Shared information is synchronized by a first device and a second device in a universal plug and play network. The first device manages the synchronized shard information. Version information about the synchronized shared information of the second device is stored(120). Version information included in an event message received from the second device is compared with the stored version information(140). The synchronized shared information of the first device is selectively updated based on the compared result(150). A part of the synchronized shared information is changeable according to devices.
