<p>The method involves inserting a male part (1) of an electrical connector in a female part (2) of the connector using an insertion tool (3), by a human operator who physically applies an insertion force to the tool. The exceedance of a given threshold of the insertion force for ensuring a mechanical locking of the insertion of the part (1), is directly detected from a comparison between the insertion force and the threshold, using an insertion force sensor of the tool. An independent claim is also included for a male part insertion tool comprising an insertion force sensor.</p> |
