A fencing tool, suitable for use in erecting a close board fence, comprises an elongate metal plate in the form of a spacer that is "Z-shaped in cross-section, wherein, in use, the spacer is shaped to fit the widest edge of a featheredge board and once fitted to the widest edge indicates the evenly spaced position of the adjacent featheredge board. The tool is also provided with markings along its length to identify the vertical nailing locations for Arris nails for evenly securing them to a fence post. |
