A lighting device for a refrigerator is provided to reduce a limitation on the storage capacity for a refrigerator due to heat generated from the lighting device thereby maintaining the degree of freshness of food stored in the refrigerator. A lighting device for a refrigerator comprises a printed circuit substrate(41) formed by surface finishing a substrate made of a metal material, at least one light emitting diodes(43) mounted on the front surface of the printed circuit substrate to optionally light a storage compartment of the refrigerator, and a mounting bracket(45) for attaching the printed circuit substrate having the light emitting diodes mounted thereof to one side of the storage compartment. The mounting bracket includes a bracket body(46) having a resting groove(46A) formed therein and at least one inserting hole through which a lead wire is inserted, and a pair of flanges(47) installed on both sides of the bracket body.
