A method for processing drill cuttings comprises obtaining drill cuttings from at least one of a shale shaker 801, hydrocyclone, centrifuge or drill cuttings dryer and measuring the moisture content of the drill cuttings to obtain a moisture value. The moisture value is compared against a predetermined threshold and the drill cuttings conveyed along a dry cuttings route if the moisture value is below the predetermined threshold or along a wet cuttings route if the moisture value is above the threshold. Both the dry and wet cuttings route may comprise a feeder apparatus 820 and a positive pressure pneumatic conveying line. The moisture content may be measured using a moisture sensor 821 located in the hopper or feeder apparatus. |
