A method for charging applications in a traffic information service and a broadcasting terminal therefor are provided to enable application belonging to the traffic information service as an independent broadcasting service form in a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) layer, thereby charging the applications separately. A method for charging applications in a traffic information service comprises the following steps of: allowing a broadcasting center to create a broadcasting signal including identification information for identifying application belonging to the traffic information service as an independent broadcasting service form(S101); performing scrambling for charging the generated broadcasting signal(S102); and transmitting the scrambled broadcasting signal(S104).
