摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery having high energy density and excellent safety. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous secondary battery has a positive electrode comprising an active material containing a lithium compound and a positive electrode collector and a negative electrode which is provided facing to the positive electrode and comprises a negative electrode active material and a negative electrode collector, and at least either one of the positive electrode collector and the negative electrode collector comprises an aggregate of rectangular sheet pieces. A constituent material for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery satisfies the following relation: S/&chi;<=&alpha;&times;d [d is a distance between the positive electrode collector and the negative electrode collector facing each other (unit: cm); S is the largest opposed area of one rectangular sheet piece in the positive electrode collector and the negative electrode collector (unit: cm<2> ); &chi; is the aspect ratio of one rectangular sheet piece in the positive electrode collector and the negative electrode collector; &alpha; is a coefficient and is one number of 900-700]. This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided with this constituent material for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery and a nonaqueous electrolyte.
