<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate assembly at low cost and to prevent pressure release during rotation, in a gear pump. <P>SOLUTION: One end portion of a cavity 30 of a body 7a is closed by a first end member as an end cover. A side plate 7c brought into contact with a gear is housed in the cavity 30 to be capable of floating. An endless oil seal 50 is interposed between a back face 7d on a gear-side side face of the side plate 7c and the first end member opposite to the back face. The oil seal 50 is housed in a housing groove 52 of the first end member. The oil seal 50 surrounds a high voltage area H by a portion 53 in a shape of a numeric character of 3 approximately corresponding to the side plate 7c and an annular portion 58 having a high voltage side connecting portion 56. The portion 53 approximately in the shape of a numeric character of 3 and the low pressure side connecting portion 57 surround the low pressure area L. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
