Method for fitting tilting window to vehicle, especially rear hatch, has a sandwich type bond between the glass and the support frame via which the widow is secured to the vehicle. The sandwich structure is applied near to the top hinge section of the window and provides a non compressible, firm mounting. The fitting also compensates for any manufacturing tolerances.
