The shaft has a steel cam, and a cam (1) with a cam effect-grip surface formed of clear chilled cast iron, where the cam is composed of flat chilled cast iron material. The cam is radially lined with a circular core (3). An outer layer (2) of the cam is formed of the chilled cast iron over a circumference of the cam. An anchoring unit (4) of the cam is provided between the clear chilled cast iron and the core radially adjacent to the cast iron and is formed by the core or clear chilled cast iron material over a boundary surface between the materials in a positive manner.
