The arrangement (1) has an infrared (IR) radiation source (2) for sending IR radiation in a measuring area (6), and a wavelength selective filter device (3) receiving the IR-radiation emitted into the measuring area. A detector device (4) with an arrangement of detector units (4a-4e) receives the IR radiation emitted from the filter device and emits measuring signals (S1). An evaluation and control device (5) receives the measuring signals and executes an evaluation. The filter device emits a wavelength specific spatially dispersed frequency spectrum (7) to the detector units. An independent claim is also included for a method for spectroscopic measurement of substances in a measuring area.
