The tool has a tool holder (2) for a percussion tool moving along an axis (A). It has a coupling sleeve (3) with locking body (5) and locking sleeve (6). The width of the locking body decreases in a direction towards the axis. The width of insertion slots (4,4') in the coupling sleeve also decreases in size towards the axis. A spring-loaded slide sleeve (8) has a partially radial driver bracket, engaging positively into radial driver grooves in the locking body.
